About the Role
The Company is in search of a strategic and hands-on Director or Vice President of Sales to lead and scale its go-to-market operations. The successful candidate will be a high-performing sales leader with a strong background in EdTech, particularly in the K-12 sector. This role is pivotal in driving all revenue generation activities, from new business development to post-sale growth, and requires a leader who is comfortable in high-stakes customer meetings, confident in presenting to various stakeholders, and is willing to travel as needed. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in either B2C or B2B sales, with at least 5 years' experience, and a minimum of 2 years in a senior sales leadership position. Key responsibilities include building and leading a high-performing sales team, developing and executing a scalable sales strategy, and aligning closely with marketing, product, and operations to ensure a seamless customer experience. The role demands a leader who is not only strategic but also hands-on, driving accountability, and is in the trenches to build momentum and demonstrate excellence. The candidate should have a deep understanding of the education buyer journey, strong leadership and coaching skills, and be comfortable working in a virtual, fast-paced, startup environment. Experience in CRM tools and a background in early-stage or founder-led growth companies are preferred. The Director or VP of Sales will be a key member of the Leadership Team, contributing to the company's strategy, market expansion, and customer relationship deepening. High-value references are required, and the candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and be prepared for travel as necessary.
