Reverie Brewing Company is a community-focused craft brewery located in beautiful Newtown, Connecticut. Known for our warm taproom and bold, high-quality beers—from hop-forward IPAs to crisp lagers and experimental brews—we’re passionate about the experience we create for our customers and the creativity behind every pint.

We’re seeking a skilled, self-driven Brewer to take the reins of our production, carry forward our popular recipe lineup, and contribute fresh ideas to elevate our beer program.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll lead all brewing operations while maintaining quality, safety, and consistency. This is a hands-on role with room to grow and innovate.

Responsibilities Include:

• Plan, prepare, and execute weekly brews on our system
• Oversee all cellar operations: fermentation tracking, racking, transfers, carbonation
• Package beer in kegs and cans, including labeling and CO2 management
• Clean and sanitize all tanks, lines, kegs and production equipment
• Maintain accurate brewing records: scheduling, batch logs, gravity, ABV, etc
• Manage ordering of grain, hops, yeast, and other brewing supplies
• Monitor quality via pH, DO, CO2 volumes, and other lab metrics
• Perform routine lab quality checks, pH readings, gravity measurements, ABV estimates, dissolved oxygen readings, CO2 Vols, etc
• Troubleshoot equipment and collaborate on maintenance solutions
• Champion the Reverie brand and values in the taproom and at community tasting events
• Assist in forecasting, planning and distribution calendar with the leadership team
• Develop new recipes, supporting brand growth and seasonal/contract opportunites

What We’re Looking For:

• 1-3 years of professional brewing experience
• Strong technical understanding of brewing, sanitation, and quality control
• Proficiency with basic lab work: gravity, ABV, pH, CO2, etc.
• Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing time independently
• Physical ability to lift 55 lb grain bags, stand for long hours, climb ladders
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
• Familiarity with brewing software (Ekos, Brewfather, Ollie, Brewers Friend) is a plus
• Passion for craft beer and alignment with Reverie’s creative and community values
• Brewing education or certifications are helpful but not required
