Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

Role Summary

Lead the design and launch of new insurance products for Corgis upcoming lines. Set up reinsurance, filings, and product operations from the ground up. Work side-by-side with legal, actuarial, and the product team to move a filing from idea to submission on a tight launch schedule.

Responsibilities

• Study competitor filings and state rules; extract language, rates, and form structures that fit Corgis goals.
• Draft underwriting guidelines, rating plans, policy forms, and supporting exhibits.
• Track feedback, revise documents, and maintain a clear audit trail.
• Build a repeatable playbook so later filings move faster.
• Define product structure, pricing, and underwriting rules.
• Secure and manage reinsurance capacity (quota share, XOL).
• Partner with actuarial, engineering, legal, and claims to build and maintain products.
• Track performance (quote/bind, loss ratio, unit economics).
• Support go-to-market and partner relationships.

Requirements

• ~5+ years in P&C (carrier, MGA, reinsurer, or brokerage).
• Strong writing and synthesis skills; can turn dense regulations into clear documents.
• Solid Excel or basic scripting for data checks and rate tables.
• Product development and/or program launch experience.
• Familiarity with SERFF filings, policy drafting, and rating engines.
• Reinsurance knowledge (structures, treaty terms, broker process).
