About the Department

The Department of Neurological Surgery at UChicago Medicine is dedicated to patient care, research, and teaching. Our surgeons provide comprehensive neurosurgical services for conditions like brain tumors, degenerative spine diseases, epilepsy, Parkinsons disease, and stroke. We are at the forefront of neurosurgical technology and research, supported by significant NIH funding, investigating complex CNS conditions to develop new treatments for patients.

Job Summary

The role involves routine scientific research assignments, ensuring compliance with regulatory policies, analyzing data, and assisting with research dissemination through reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support for research projects.
• Analyze data and specimens, conduct literature reviews, and assist in preparing reports and manuscripts.
• Set up experiments, interact with team members under PI guidance.
• Support recruitment, develop study protocols, build databases, and provide administrative support.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• College or university degree in a related field.
• Less than 2 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related field.
