Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical InfusionPharmacist for a full time, Day Shift position at an Infusion Specialty Pharmacy in Inglewood, CA.

Key Details:

• Start : ASAP
• Schedule : Monday to Friday,8 AM - 5 PM
• Reports to: Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
• Location : Candidates should be local (at least less than an hour from Inglewood), to ensure long-term stability & reliability.

Pharmacy Details:

• High patient growth; volume has nearly doubled
• 90% specialty, 10% compounding

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense and verify prescription orders in accordance with pharmacy protocols and regulations.
• Provide clinical counseling for new patients and monitor therapy through chart reviews and patient profile monitoring.
• Communicate with prescribers to resolve clarifications, initiate refills, and manage care coordination.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, monitor lot tracking systems, and manage product recalls.
• Adjudicate insurance claims, run test claims, and support billing coordination.
• Assist with data entry for new drugs/supplies in CareTend and help maintain pharmacy workflow logs and ordering systems.
• Participate in compliance, accreditation, performance improvement initiatives, and inspection readiness.
• Act as PIC in their absence and assume on-call responsibilities as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• PharmD or BSPharm from an ACPE-accredited college.
• Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice.

Requirements (Need a minimum of 3 of the following, for consideration):

• 24 years of experience in home infusion, hospital, or specialty pharmacy preferred (biologics, IVIG)
• URAC and ACHC knowledge/experience
• Proficiency in pharmacy software (preferably CareTend), insurance claim adjudication, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Prism Pumps
• Strong knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 standards - sterile compounding (can train)
