The Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ seeks to employ a hematologist at the assistant or associate professor rank.
The potential faculty member will have responsibilities on the inpatient and outpatient hematology
service, and teach hematology oncology fellows, residents, and medical students. They will have the opportunity to develop a clinical and/or translational research program and have collaborative opportunities in established clinical and translational research programs. Focus areas in hemostasis and thrombosis are preferred but other areas of focus in classical hematology also are possible The Division of Hematology has an active Hemophilia Treatment Center and sees a broad range of patients with classical hematologic disorders.

Overview The Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is comprised of approximately 150 paid and more than 300 volunteer faculty members organized into 11 divisions covering the major medical subspecialties: Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases; Cardiovascular Diseases and Hypertension; Education; Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition; Gastroenterology and Hepatology; General Internal Medicine; Hematology; Medical Oncology; Nephrology; Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine; and Rheumatology. |

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply.
