Title: Associate Scientist I, Genetic Toxicology

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our GLP-compliant Genetic Toxicology Laboratory in Concord, OH. This full-time, on-site Associate Scientist-I role involves supporting in vitro and in vivo genetic toxicology assays, including bacterial reverse mutation assay (Ames Assay), in vitro Micronucleus Assay using using human lymphoblastoid (TK6) cell line and human peripheral blood lymphocyte (HPBL), and rodents in vivo Micronucleus assay, Comet Assay, and Pig-a assay. The successful candidate will be properly trained to perform hands-on laboratory procedures following study protocols, SOPs, and regulatory standards, contributing directly to data quality and compliance.

This is a full-time, on-site position offering hands-on experience in genetic toxicology, with opportunities to grow within an expanding laboratory team.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct genetic toxicology assays (e.g., Ames, in vitro and in vivo assays) in accordance with GLP regulations and SOPs.
• Prepare reagents, perform pipetting, dilutions, and basic laboratory calculations.
• Culture and prepare bacterial strains and mammalian cell lines.
• Support data collection and sample processing for both in vitro and in vivo studies.
• Accurately document observations and results in laboratory notebooks and study records.
• Maintain lab organization through routine cleaning, inventory management, and adherence to 5S principles.
• Monitor equipment, maintain calibration and usage logs, and assist with quality assurance activities.
• Participate in team discussions and report any study-related observations.

Education and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, toxicology, chemistry, or a related scientific field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
• 0–2 years of experience in a laboratory setting; GLP or genetic toxicology experience preferred.
• Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and equipment, including pipettes, biosafety cabinets, centrifuges, incubators, and automated counters.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to perform standard data entry and calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and time management.
• Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols.
• Must be able to work on-site in Concord, OH.
